Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc.’s (CFLR, Inc.) Compeer Program matches trained volunteers in one-to-one supportive friendships and mentoring relationships. Healthy friendships enable the adults, youth and veterans who we serve to become more socially integrated into the Community and to reach their greater independence. The consistent, caring relationships formed between volunteers and their Compeer Friends fosters a sense of belonging, trust and self-esteem in the people referred to the program.

Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc.’s (CFLR, Inc.) Project Recover is about creating a systematic, community-wide support network for individuals in all stages of recovery from substance use disorders and mental illness, and their families throughout the Greater Utica area. In partnership with the community, eleven Recovery Regions haven been identified throughout Herkimer and Oneida County for the creation of a recovery friendly support network. Built upon the solid foundation of SAMHSA’s (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) Recovery Model, these Recovery Regions will center on the four pillars of recovery: health, home, purpose and community.
