The Professional Training Coalition is an initiative of the Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc. The goal of the Professional Training Coalition is to put the newest, cutting-edge information in the hands of those in the human services professions – whether to help professionals better care for clients or to further professionals’ knowledge base and skill set, the Professional Training Coalition strives to be on the forefront of what’s new and what’s happening in the field of Recovery.

The Professional Training Coalition is comprised of:

  • The Oneida County Professional Training Coalition
  • Employee Assistance Program (CFLR, Inc. EAP) training
  • Medical Continuing Education Credit training

The Professional Training Coalition is currently seeking a B.S.W. or M.S.W. Social Work intern interested in a unique internship that offers both clinical and macro policy/program administration experience in the training program. The Professional Training Coalition is currently seeking the following for the Speaker’s Bureau Program:

  • M.S.W., L.M.S.W., L.C.S.W., Ph.D.,  individuals who would like to teach workshops on topics of interest to the Social Work community
  • Individuals in recovery from mental health and/or substance use disorders who would like to tell their story to the community

Professional Training Coalition of Oneida County

Focuses on facilitating priority training needs for professionals in the community by analyzing evaluations and addressing our Community’s needs. Their mission is to train and educate Community Professionals on issues related to dual recovery, treatment, prevention, mental health, case management and more. Some PTC trainings offer New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services OASAS hours to participants. Additionally, PTC trainings are sponsored in part by the Oneida County Health Department and Office of Mental Health.
