Prescription Drug Take Back Days scheduled for April

 

Utica, New York (April 2016) – Center for Family Life and Recovery along with the Drug Enforcement agency and various local agencies are hosting two take back days in April. The public is invited to drop off unwanted medicine on April 16th at the New Hartford Shopping Center from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

 

April 30th is National Take Back Day and various police departments around the area accepting unwanted medicine from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

 

Before storing, flushing, or throwing away unwanted medicine know the consequences of doing this! From accidental drug poisoning to polluting our drinking water these drug disposal techniques are not the safe way to dispose of your left over medicine. Empty your medicine cabinet in a safer, healthier, and more environmentally friendly way.

 

The following local are taking back prescriptions at any time: Bonaparte Pharmacy in Harrisville, The Falls Pharmacy in Lyons Falls, U&I Pharmacy in Vernon, and Garro Drugs in Utica. Alongside these areas of disposal, the Utica and Rome Police Departments have Drug Disposal units that are open to the public around the clock 7 days a week!
