Utica, New York (January 2026) – Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc. is seeking nominations for the 2026 Amethyst Award, an honor recognizing individuals in our community who inspire hope and recovery in the fields of mental health, substance use treatment, and prevention.
Eligibility: The Amethyst Award is open to anyone in the community. Nominees do not need to be affiliated with CFLR. Eligible individuals may include people with lived experience, family members, peer advocates, professionals, volunteers, educators, or community leaders.
Why Nominate Someone? This award recognizes individuals who:
- Inspire others through a message of hope, healing, and recovery
- Demonstrate compassion, resilience, and leadership
- Make a meaningful impact in mental health, chemical dependency, treatment, or prevention
- Help reduce stigma and show others that recovery is possible

Nominations will be accepted through February 24, 2026. The award will be presented at Center for Family Life and Recovery’s 2026 April Awareness Breakfast to be held on April 14th at Hart’s Hill Inn, in Whitesboro, and is open to the public.
