Center for Family Life and Recovery, Inc.’s (CFLR, Inc.) Compeer Program fosters friendship, and matches trained volunteers in supportive friendships and mentoring relationships with at-risk youth, adults, and veterans receiving mental health treatment in Oneida and Herkimer Counties, New York. We offer supportive friendships and mentoring relationships through:
  • 1:1 matches with youth and adults
  • Vet-2-Vet/CompeerCorps program which matches veteran volunteers with veteran Compeer friends
  • CompCall where you are matched with someone on our waiting list, just to name a few.
  • Lunch Buddies where you spend 1 lunch hour with an at-risk youth
  • E-Buddies where you communicate with a Compeer friend through email

There are currently more than 85 friendship and mentorship opportunities to be created. If you think you might be the right person to provide a meaningful friendship to someone in need, please give Amber Parker Boyer, our Compeer Specialist, a call at 315-733-1709, or email her at blyons@cflrinc.org
