Compeer Mentoring Program

Compeer Program logoCenter for Family Life and Recovery, Inc.’s (CFLR, Inc.) Compeer Program matches trained volunteers in one-to-one supportive friendships and mentoring relationships. Healthy friendships enable the adults, youth, and veterans who we serve to become more socially integrated into the Community and to reach their greater independence. The consistent, caring relationships formed between mentors and their mentees (Compeer Friends) fosters a sense of belonging, trust, and self-esteem in the people referred to the program. CFLR, Inc.’s Compeer Program fosters friendship, and matches trained volunteers in one-to-one supportive friendships and mentoring relationships with at-risk youth, adults, and veterans receiving mental health treatment in Oneida and Herkimer Counties, New York. We have more than 85 adults, youth and volunteers waiting to be matched.
